The hotel was dirty, (not the rooms they were O.K), but food and bar areas were not cleared of plates and dirty glasses the whole time we were there, so some dirty glasses sat on bar tables for 24hours!
Excellent location, very modern and great deal on price compared to shabbier hotels across the Tyne.
Very little to complain about. Satellite tv channels didn't work at all consistently but very windy during our stay.
Superb location, helpful staff, quiet and clean
Location was ideal, next to the Millenium bridge
Just a mix up with charges. I booked at one price but they tried to charge me more than double.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Great location. Rooms were modern and spacious. Beds were very comfortble.
Although we did expect sum noise, it was very noisy during the night with people shouting through doors, in rooms and down corridors at 4,5,6,7 in the morning. My friends and myself stayed in a family room which sleeps three and I dont think any one with young children would of appreciated this. some awful dirty person had wiped snot down the shower/ bathroom wall obviously who ever had the room before us had done this and it had not been cleaned. the rest of the room and bathroom was very clean. these small issues did not effct our stay and i would definatly stay again. :)
Friendly, very helpful with where to park, where to go at nightm calling taxis etc
Hotel great, rooms beautiful and spacious, very comfortable beds, tasty breakfast. Overall, all good and location very nice.
Parking. If you go on weekend dont expect places for 5gbp for 24h in hotel while nearby parking 1pound and hour. You can leave car for night for free on street but need to remove at 8am. Although you can easily leave car good 20min walk from hotel...
complained about noise on my landing, was told someone would come up, noise continued for another 40 minutes!!
We loved everything about this hotel although I think the next time we book it won't be at the week end as it is far to noisy.
The noise was terrible and no staff dealt with the noise.
Great location, Great view, Great value
Could be a bit noisy with many guests prime for a big night out on the Toon.
Breakfast in tariff and was excellent
Parking a bit limited for a big hotel
staff were very good...food good.......location good
room door did not lock.... but was given another room very quickly
Enjoyed the relaxed and friendly feel of the hotel.
only being able to stay for one night.
Location on the quay side
Parking. Very limited parking and the closest parking is £1 per hour including during the night. I think the owners of the car park are profiteering from the hotel as most car parks charge from 8am to 6pm then a flat rate of maybe £1.50 from 6pm to 8am. The carpark further up was £5.40 for over 3 hours 8am to 11pm so no extra cost if leaving plus there was free parking on the road between 6pm and 8am but you had to set your alarm to get up to move the car into the chargable car park so put paid to having a lie in which defeated the purpose of our holiday as we were there to chill and relax. The hotel carpark is £5 per night if you get in.
The breakfast food was ok good range of choice.
The carpark isn't big enough ad staff are unable to suggest appropriate alternatives. Curtains dirty, crack in wall tiles and floor tiles in bathroom. Food from bar not great considering price portions are very small. Do not understand why it's called Newcastle Gateshead when it is on the Gateshead side of the Tyne!!
